dEfMAME Description: dEfMAME is a modified version of the no longer available DMAME, which means it has to be run from pure DOS (NOT FROM A DOSBOX WITHIN WINDOWS!). It is optimized for the i686 processor family but will also run on lower and of course on higher CPUs (it is even faster on a Pentium IV than the P4-compile). dEfMAME requires at least 64 Megs of RAM but I strongly recommend to put 256 Megs of good RAM into your machine, some GameRoms are over 90 Megs in compressed form and the emulator itself is almost 30 Megs big ! Many banned games like Metal Slug 5, King Of Fighters 2003, Rage of the Dragons (also the decrypted graphics version) and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2003 have been added to the drivers section and are enabled. Besides that there are always some enhancements like 60Hz sync-exact compiles or more testdrivers. Also, dEfMAME will not wait for a key to be pressed if an invalid ROM dump has been detected, it will start the emulation anyway.
